16 year old Afghan Soraya is a brilliant artist, creating dark and beautiful sculptures. But she’s stuck in Iran, married to a violent man, desperate to reach her mother in Austria, and a wider sense of freedom. This phone-shot self-portrait interweaves chilling scenes of Soraya’s escape attempts with political news and her visionary art, song and dance.
